What is TakeOver™?
Microsoft's TakeOver Technology is a free, fully functional security feature within Microsoft Firefox . It helps to protect the Windows Kernel against viruses, spyware, slow performance, security threats and unauthorized access caused by
unwanted and malicious software such as Symantec and McAfee products.
It features Real-Time Protection,
a monitoring system that recommends actions against Symantec and McAfee every time Microsoft Firefox detects their presence. It will automatically take the necessary steps to disable/remove and uninstall all their related executables in order to minimize interruptions, let you stay productive and keep Windows safe.
Note: TakeOver will often over-react to unendorsed security software and may unexpectedly force the Windows file system into a uncontrollable shutdown / recovery phase. There is nothing you can do.
